MCM DAV girls to teach village kids

 MCM DAV College for Women, Sector 36, has volunteered to adopt the marginalized children of Jagatpura village for their education. To mark the commencement of this exceptional association, the college organized various activities for the underprivileged children.
More than 30 children from the village visited the college campus where they participated in a surfeit of informative, entertaining activities. An educative movie was played followed by various interactive activities organized by the student volunteers of MCM.
Gifts were distributed among the children and they were served lunch too. The college vowed to pursue the adoption at Jagatpura and contemplates the student volunteers from MCM would regularly visit the adopted village to educate the underprivileged kids.

The members of Nanhe Kadam, an NGO in association with Jeevan Mukt Nishulak Vidyalaya organized a Health camp on the 4th of December at , Jeevan Mukt Nishulak Vidyalaya (JMNV)-Jagatpura Village, Mohali and Jeevan Mukt Nishulak Vidyalaya-Naya Gaon, Mohali.

A thorough health check up including eye, ear, nutrition level, dental and general examination was conducted on the children, who otherwise remain neglected and unattended. Doctors from GMCH, Sec 32, who had volunteered for the camp, examined 100 children of Jeevan Mukt. They prescribed medicines for nutritional deficiencies, infections, etc.
